A Quick Guide to our Datapoints

These are our datapoints, organized in six sections as they appear in the datagrid.

Basic Data:

  • Exchanges

The stock exchanges on which a company's shares trade; typically the most-liquid exchange is first.
  • Minerals with Estimates

These are the minerals for which the company has published 43-101 (link to resource terminology page) or other official resource and reserve estimates. They are typically the most important minerals for the company. Many new exploration companies have not yet prepared the reserve reports necessary for these estimates.
  • Minerals without Estimates

All other minerals that a company has claimed to be present in its properties. These are usually not given much weight in valuation considerations
  • Stage

Stage of development of the most advanced of the company's properties. Companies can progress from exploration to development and finally production stage.
Properties are classified here as development if at least one pre-feasibility study has been completed or construction has been commenced.
  • Market Capitalization

Shares outstanding X price per share. A popular but somewhat limited measure of company valuation.
  • Enterprise Value

Market Capitalization + Debt - Cash. A more complete estimate of the value of a company. What it would theoretically cost a buyer of the whole company: they must buy all the shares and assume the debt, but may claim the cash.
  • Headquarter Country

Location of the main corporate offices and registration.
  • Property Countries

Locations of the company's mineral properties.
