We’ve now loaded up several pages of data for each company, most importantly including a page showing full data on stage of development, percentage ownership, resource, production and cash costs for each property in a company’s portfolio. This data is extremely labor intensive to gather with completeness and accuracy, so these pages are a great addition to our site.

For example, here’s what we show for Goldcorp’s Pueblo Viejo property (we show everything they make public):

To see them, starting from the datagrid, click on any view other than List View (ie: Basic Data, Financial Data, Financial Strength, etc), then click on a company’s name to visit its dedicated pages.

They are still a bit incomplete and rough around the edges, but the property data pages are in good shape, and those alone HUGELY increase the data available on this site.

We’ve just updated and posted the full financial and 43-101 resources data for another 100 companies in the last 7 days. Watch this week for the lauch of our dedicated company pages with resource and production data for every property in every company’s portfolio.

What you see here in this beta version is just the core of our site, the datagrid. It’s a stock screen custom-built for finding exactly the mining companies you’re interested in, and then comparing them by 48 different data points.

We think our screener is the best out there, hands down. But what if you want to see even more on a particular company? In this beta site, we have stock charts, some trading info, news and filings, but the truth is you can get that stuff anywhere (Yahoo, Google, marketwatch, etc.). You come to us because we give you the data that matters for mining companies, which is all about the rock: where, what kind, how much, how well-defined, any production, and at what cost to mine? This is a lot more than we can pack into our datagrid, so, to be released soon, we’ve created dedicated 5-6 page sections for each and every company. Here you’ll find a full page or more on properties, where we give you all the gory details of resources, production, costs, and notes for every mineral on every property in a company’s portfolio.

We also have pages for financial statements, financial analysis and mining-specific valuation analysis, as well as an overview page to give you the basics at a glance. This is also where we’re going to put company profiles, our write-ups of sponsors and selected companies. Sponsors will also have the ability to give us powerpoints, pdfs, videos and other media for what will be a sort of mini-website just about the company.

These company pages will be up in a few days, and while we’re still in beta for the next few weeks everyone will be able to see the full property data on each of the PDAC attendees that we’re using as a demo. When we have the kinks smoothed out we’ll put up several hundred more companies and exit beta, at which time we’ll start charging for full data access. The site will still be open to the public, but you’ll need a premium subscription to see resource and property data.

So those are our plans. Exciting times around here this spring, seeing 2+ years of work come to fruition.

We’ve been busy this weekend. Coming soon, we’re releasing a new layout that puts our datagrid front and center so you can get right down to business.

We’ve also enhanced our search capabilities to allow for even more precise searches. Want to see only microcap companies with producing copper mines in Peru? No problem. Our new system of strict searches means that you may not find what you’re looking for on your first go-around. If that happens, you’re probably awfully picky! Just widen your criteria.

Coming soon, we’re adding Property Search. You’ll be able to find projects by name or criteria, just like you can companies now.

Also, starting this week we will be following up with a lot of you whom we met in Toronto at PDAC 2010. We’ll be asking you to confirm your latest property and resource data, since we’re almost ready to throw this up on the web in all its detail.

Also starting this week we will be unveiling a huge new part of our site: the dedicated company pages. Each company in our database gets 5-6 pages all its own, for free, forever! These include the following:

Overview page: Stock chart, trading data, news, resource summary, analysis summary.

Financials: Fully financial statements for several quarters, plus regulatory filings.

Properties (!): Full descriptive, ownership, resource, production and cost data for every property. Free for now, but later for Premium subscribers only. Peruse for free while PDAC preview lasts — when we put up all 1500 of our companies soon this will be for Premium subscribers only.

Financial Strength: Classic value investing balance sheet analysis plus our own Burn Time.

Price:Ore Ratios: For all companies with resource data, these offer a perspective on how richly or cheaply valued the stock is relative to the company’s rock assets. Again, free only during our PDAC preview.

Profitability Ratios: For producers only, Classic Graham and Dodd analysis of margins and profits.
